Digital Inclusion starts here with Free data support

Derbyshire Community Bank can provide free mobile SIM cards to support digital inclusion within the community, helping those who struggle to access the internet on their phones stay connected to vital online services.

Free mobile data for those who need it most!

Here at DCBank we know how important it is to access the digital world. We want everyone to have easy access to financial services, healthcare, employment opportunities and the many other essential digital services. That’s why we have partnered with Good Things Foundation, to make sure that everyone has access to the internet by providing a free SIM with data for up to 12 months.

We are a Digital Inclusion Hub, one of more than 5,000 across the UK working with the Good Things Foundation who run the national databank that supports access to the internet.

How we can help

Most of us can afford a mobile phone SIM, but for those who can’t, or are digitally excluded, we can provide a free SIM card with data. Whether it’s for staying in touch with loved ones, accessing vital services, or managing your finances online, we’re here to support you.

We will also set up a savings account and help build up some savings – financial resilience and stability, plus some savings that will help pay for a SIM contract when the free SIM expires.

How to Refer

Please use this form to refer someone to us for a free SIM. If you represent one of our partner organisations please add your organisation details.

Why is Mobile Data so important?

Reliable access to mobile data has become essential to modern life. As well as communicating with family and friends, it is now needed to access financial services, banking and other financial services, job seeking, tax status, benefits claims, government forms such as immigration status.

Healthcare services including doctors & hospitals offering online consultations, booking appointments, and receiving health updates via mobile platforms, having data access is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. It enables individuals to track their health, manage prescriptions, and keep up with appointments, making healthcare more accessible and efficient.

Is also a key tool for managing our money. With online banking, financial planning tools, and access to real-time updates, individuals can manage their finances securely from anywhere, anytime. This is especially important for those who need to stay on top of budgeting, transferring money, or applying for loans, giving them control over their financial wellbeing.

At Derbyshire Community Bank, we understand how crucial these connections are. Through our partnership with Good Things Foundation, we are helping members stay digitally connected with free SIM cards, ensuring that everyone has the access they need to stay in touch, manage their health, and handle their finances with ease.

Digital Devices
